Bizarre advice for you today.
Have you ever watched the Walt Disney movie “Pinocchio”?
It’s an emotional, evergreen Disney movie derived from the tale “The Adventures of Pinocchio”, written in 1881 (!) by the Italian writer Carlo Collodi.
Pinocchio is a living wooden puppet.
Gideon and Honest John, aka the Cat and the Fox, are a pair of scammers.
Honest John, the Fox, is sneaky and has taken the “easy road” to money. He is very persuasive and can persuade almost anybody to do what he wants. Gideon, the Cat, is not as smart as his colleague, but he has followed the same easy road. Both have no conscience, and they are ready to do whatever it takes to make ‘quick’ money.
When Pinocchio encounters the two, he owns five gold coins. The Fox immediately sees the opportunity for a new scam: so, they invite Pinocchio to go visit a ‘Field of Miracles’.
They tell him that in the Field of Miracles, his coins can be sown like seeds, and the seeds will grow into a money-producing tree.
Do you recognize a pattern here?
How many internet marketing gurus and self-proclaimed coaches tell you to follow their unbelievable killer strategy, or the newest get-rich-quick scheme, and then the next one, and then another again?
So you invest A LOT of money…
… and THEY make money…
… but YOU DON’T, because that fake money tree will never produce anything.
It doesn’t sound new to you, right?
I know, it’s sad.
And what could you do, instead?
Simple:
the best way to protect yourself from scams is to learn how to develop a REAL, LONG LASTING, SUSTAINABLE online activity…
- that sells real products that people need (NOT over priced junk)
- that generates leads through organic or social or paid traffic (NOT robotic clicks or black-hat tricks)
- that is based on automatic funnels that progressively convert leads into sales (NOT bombardment of sales pitches or cold calls)
