For time immemorial, in all companies there have always been two opposite categories of men:
– the “friends of women”
and
– “playboys”
The first ones are men who are satisfied with the attention women give them, presenting themselves as pure and sensitive souls. And so the girls/ladies harass them with female confidences and find them sweet, understanding, affectionate, become friends, adore them, look for them, …
But there’s a small problem.
I want to be frank: girls will NEVER sleep with them.

Now let’s move on to their exact opposite.
A playboy, a so-called “tombeur de femme”, is the type of guy that every girl wants.
They are not sensitive guys and they don’t have a romantic soul at all. They are often rather rude and absent-minded. They prefer a game of five-a-side football to gynoecium. They are a bit of bastards. They make girls suffer.
Yet women are irresistibly attracted to them.
And so, playboys always pick up.
Without focusing on why the second strategy is so more successful, let’s get to business:
When relating to customers, do you want to be a friend of them or do you want to win them over?
Do you want to hear them say how good you are, or do you want to have them submit more sales orders?
If you want to be a friend of your customers, look institutional, complacent, and polite, but also unable to ever take new orders and have a chance to win over the women – sorry, customers – that you like …
