I’ve just discovered something you might find helpful.
It’s about YouTube Ads.
As you know, YouTube lives on advertising revenue: every time we want to see a video, we must watch a commercial for a product or service YouTube considers relevant to us according to our browsing profile.
How do they know? Big Brother knows everything about us, don’t forget.
Anyhow:
although we all consider those advertising video pretty annoying, we watch them.
And if YouTube keeps them running, it’s because they bring value to all parties involved. Visitors click on a percentage of those ads. Advertisers make money. YouTube makes money too.
What I didn’t know (my fault) is this:
YouTube has a program for people who don’t want to watch ads: it’s called YouTube Red, and for just $10/month you won’t see any more ads.
This made me think.
Because in spite of this option, there are still millions of people who keep watching video ads on YouTube, and keep clicking on them. I don’t know if they’re unaware of YouTube Red, or if they are just unwilling to pay for it.
It does not matter. They click on video ads.
Interesting, isn’t it?
Even more if you consider that YouTube ads are often cheaper than AdWords and Facebook Ads, and that they can bring to your door very targeted leads.
Not to mention that YouTube offers great opportunities to generate fr.ee traffic as well. All you need in both cases (paid advertising or organic traffic) is a good video, relevant to the audience. And shooting a quality video in not so hard today, even if you just have a smartphone.
Ok, so what?
Simple:
if you haven’t done it yet, consider adding video marketing to your marketing arsenal.
(I’ll do it as well. I must admit that I’ve underutilized videos in my brick and mortar businesses so far, and I haven’t used them at all in online business).
