An email marketing is imperfect if it lacks a CALL TO ACTION.
That is, if there is no invitation to action that “engages” the reader and makes him do something: click on a link, visit a site, watch a video, reply, etc…
A CALL TO ACTION is necessary, otherwise instead of being an email marketing email it becomes a purely informative email.
Also, an email with a Call-to-Action that engages and makes people click on it increases your reputation and thus the deliverability of your email.
But apart from the Call-To-Action, there have also been many responses that highlight other sacrosanct elements, and that I summarize below grouped by categories:
– an image (drawing, outline, photo, infographic,)
– a video
– a P.S.
– a bonus/charge (an attachment, an eBook, a discount, etc.)
– personalized greeting to the recipient
– the recipient (!)
– the role of the sender (what position does he occupy in Bellazienda Spa who writes)
– the seriality of the email: making it become part of a sequence
– create a sense of waiting between emails
