The real key to success is not only WHAT you say, nor HOW you say it.
What matters most is the “emotional path” you activate on the other side of the handset.
While hearing your words, your interlocutor doesn’t make a rational effort to understand their meaning: the words activate emotions and he goes through a series of moods.
In practice, he’s hearing, but not listening: he’s imagining.
WHAT and HOW things are said, therefore, should only serve to stimulate that emotional journey.
If they can’t, that telemarketing script has failed.
